SUMMARY: The Web-based Training Computer Programmer will, as part of a development team, provide programming and web-application developing SCORM and Section 508 compliant web-based interactive media instruction (IMI) for the Department of Defense and/or other Federal agencies and commercial customers using Flash, Action Script, XML, XHTML and JavaScript and other software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific tasks to be performed by the Computer programmer include but are not limited to the following:
Programming for web-based IMI in Flash and/or XHTML with LMS communication and SCORM requirements.
Creating tools to aid in the efficiency of courseware development.
Programming for courseware conversion and web page/portal development.
Creating web pages /web-sites to include interaction with databases.
Creating and editing graphics, animations, video and audio for IMI Courseware, web pages, print media, and presentations as needed.
Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.
Utilize teamwork, communication and time management skills while multitasking in a fast paced environment.
Preparing special and recurring reports as required.
Support training staff as required in assigned project based work.
