SUMMARY: Serves as Materiel Item Manger for classes of Supply I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII and IX in support of logistical operations within the Area Support Group (ASG)-Kuwait. The Item Manager is responsible ensuring efficient and effective the materiel and distribution management services are preformed using the Standard Army Retail Level Supply System-1 (SARSS-1) and SARSS 2AC/B and other sustainment systems/databases and tools. Must have a comprehensive understanding the Army field and national supply systems, knowledge the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) and logistics financial management and accounting. Be thoroughly knowledgeable on the use of SARSS-1 and 2AC/B automated procedures and processes. Item managers must be proficient in both automated and manual supply and distribution procedures. They must be able conduct sustainment studies and analysis and make sound recommendations based on their analysis. Provide timely materiel, distribution and readiness status and situational awareness to the ASG-Kuwait Staff and supported activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Manage Department of Defense Activity Address Code (DODAAC) Maintenance Process by updating SARSS-1 parameters, updating of the RIC related parameter records and building , updating or deleting DODAACs.
• Manage Frustrated Cargo to ensure proper item identification, supporting documentation, to facilitate delivery to indented consignee.
• Conduct Supply Support Mission Analysis based on commander's support guidance to forecast distribution, and control items to support the mission synchronize the distribution plan with the operational plan areas within the distribution system.
• Consolidate logistics requirements data and reports. Determine the support requirements.
• Manage Issue/Referrals to process requisitions from directly supported SARSS-1 sites and SARSS-2AC/B interactive request for issue process. Part I of the issue/referral process edits input, performs fund verification and routes transactions to the Manager Review File (MRF). Part II performs referral actions to SARSS-1 activities that have excess stocks and holds requisitions for repairable when the on-hand quantity plus dues-in minus the open quantity exceeds the Requisitioning Objective (RO) for the stock number. Part III determines the disposition of requisitions not completed by Part I or Part II.
• Manage Repairable Items. Identify Repiarable Exchange (RX) ASL candidates. Direct shipment or repair of retrograde Manage the Overage Reparable Report
• Manage Stock Determination Actions Verify the results of the Authorized Stockage List (ASL) review board Identify constraints for each ASL candidate Determine the Requisitioning Objective (RO). Select the appropriate Stockage List Code Update the ASL by RIC.
• Analyze Performance Standards. Interpret DA Performance Standards:

SUMMARY: The Standard Army Maintenance System – Enhanced Specialist is responsible for dispatching and inputting all maintenance services, repairs and parts requisitions into the Standard Army Maintenance System-1/I Enhanced (SAMS- 1/I (E)). Has an understanding the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), Army Materiel Status System (AMSS), and Army supply system. Will be thoroughly knowledgeable on the use of SAMS-E automated procedures and processes in order to document support/unit maintenance activities and AOAP requirements. Operator must be proficient in both automated and manual maintenance documentation procedures. Access SAMS-1/I (E) to review and print reports as required, and manage work orders.

SUMMARY: The Standard Army Maintenance System – Enhanced Production Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring maintenance services, repairs and parts requisitions are properly documented in the Standard Army Maintenance System-Enhanced (SAMS-(E) Levels 1, I and 2 as required. Has a comprehensive understanding of the Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), the Army Materiel Status System (AMSS) and the Army supply system. Be thoroughly knowledgeable on the use of SAMS-E automated procedures and processes in order to manage shop maintenance activities and AOAP requirements. Specialists must be proficient in both automated and manual maintenance documentation procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Performs all TAMMS operations and shop production control functions required to manage work orders: to include work order management (adding, updating, deleting and fitering), work center scheduling and management, adding labor input, man-hour expenditures, view and filter employee work schedules, and WO repair part management to include those ordering, status tracting and utilization using SAMS-(E).
• Ensure required parts to repair vehicles and equipment are requisitioned, received, stored and/or dispatched to appropriate repair shop to facilitate vehicle/equipment maintenance. Mange the /Shop Stock and Document Control Register conducting follow-ups manually posting supply and shipment information as required.
• Input results of Technical Inspections equipment faults into SAMS-(E) form DA Form 2404 to ensure current status on DA Form 5988-E equipment faults and status. Review update to equipment operator records and equipment data for completeness and accuracy and corrections applied as required.
• Manage Monthly Services Due schedule as requested.
• Manage Customers additions, transfers, and data.
• Ensure standard reports are produce IAW with published reporting standards. Create ad hoc queries retrieve reports and data as required to support operations and determine readiness status or vehicles ensuring accuracy of 06 reports data; provide/input data for AMSS reporting.
• Ensure FED LOG updates are applied to SAMS-(E) systems and equipment data is maintained.
• Facilitate AOAP ensuring AOAP samples are submitted IAW schedules.
• Maintain and update MMDF, local records and records received form from LOGSA
• Perform system admin functions as required to include but not limited to:
o Perform system database back-up, restore and purge processes, conduct requisition issue and receive transactions as needed.
o Ensure interface processes are operational and transfers meet schedule requirements.
o Maintaining personnel management procedures to include: adding and editing personnel data, to include operator qualifications
o Maintaining customers information
o Maintain and schedule required SAMS-(E) updated

Tech is also responsible for selecting and filling Materiel Release Orders (MRO), performing location survey and inventories, and processing customer pickups and turn-ins. Above functions are performed using SARSS-1 workstations, Materiel Release Order Control System (MROCS), Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) equipment, and warehouse MHE (responsible for equipment PMCS operations). SUMMARY: The Supply Technician (Stock Control) assists the SSA Accountable Officer in the management and control of the SSA’s d warehouse workflow. Provides customer support by using the SARSS-1 server and workstations to edit and process customer requisitions, determines customer status, conducts reconciliations and customer assistance reviews. The stock control supply technician is responsible for SARSS-1 server operations and system support functions, interface file transfers, and housekeeping functions. Enforces supply discipline and financial standards and provides service to customers that meet regulatory requirement for receipt of services. Duties, also, includes monitoring performance of SSA’s customer accounts, system updates, and ABF/catalog management functions; produces MROs, inventory adjustments, inventory documentation, and required management reports. Conducts and assists training of SSA and customer personnel relative to SSA operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
• Operates the SARSS-1server and section workstations and performs required equipment PMCS.
• Edits, performs required management reviews and processes SSA customer transitions (i.e. requests for issues, follow-ups, cancellations, modifications, turn-ins) using SARSS and manual procedures (walkthroughs, CUSTIN, TRANSOUT).
• Provides customer status, reconciliations and customer assistance reviews (CUSTOUT).
• Ensures customer accounts and interfaces are properly maintained (signature card, passwords, and interfaces, etc).
• Using SARSS-1, generates warehouse listing and transactions (MROs, stock picking list, locations/accuracy surveys and inventories etc).
• Process SARSS-1 stock functions (ASL review, Zero balance reports)
• Maintain SARSS-1 ABF and Catalog files and data.
• Performs SARSS-1 system support functions - file building, updating, downloading, in-processing, and out-processing required to maintain the support system.
• Ensures data is properly sent to and received by SSA’s SARSS-1 and its interfacing systems (TRANSIN - TRANSOUT).
• Process storage functions transactions using SARSS-1 (receipts, denials, inventories, condition code change, referrals, turn-ins etc).
• Provides backup support to warehouse supply technicians.
• Prepares and maintains SARSS files and manual supply, maintenance, and transportation documents.
• Perform Physical and Information Assurance tasks as assigned.
• Train customer and SSA personnel.
